National Policy on Gaming Activities
The Government developed a National Policy on Gaming Activities in Tanzania as part of its commitment to create an enabling environment for sustainable development of gaming activities and realization of its full potential.
The objective of the policy is to ensure that gaming activities are conducted in a regulated and competitive manner. The policy provides for institutional framework of the gaming sector, which is comprised of the Government, the regulator and the gaming operator.

Gaming Legislations
The major regulatory tools in use by the Gaming Board of Tanzania in its regulatory function are the Gaming Act Cap. 41 and the Gaming Regulations GN No. 385. The gaming laws have been established with a view to achieving the objective of the National Policy on Gaming Activities, which is to have a well regulated and competitive gaming industry.
